The Kingdom of Peace

The truth about the Kingdom of God cannot be over emphasized; really we cannot phantom the depth of the understanding of it. It is beyond our widest imagination, so deep and so wide; and far beyond human knowledge. Notwithstanding, I am grateful to God who fills His children with the Holy Spirit; the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. This Devine Person is the one who teaches, guides, and reveals to us a little bit of the concept of God’s Kingdom that we can handle. We can also grow in this revelation knowledge as we habitually wait on God and yield to the teachings of the Spirit of Truth. As we know that, “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed are ours and our children’s forever, so we can do all the words of this teaching.” Deut. 29:28

The Prince of Peace said, “For behold The Kingdom of God is within you” Luke 17:21. This glorious Kingdom is spiritual, hence we are instructed that, It is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the HOLY SPIRIT {Romans 14:17}. There is no doubt that the joy of the Lord is our strength, but one needs the righteousness of God in order to access this realm of power and glory. What a good news to know that the way had been made available by the Lord Jesus Christ our Kinsman Redeemer! He, who knew no sin, was made to be sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. [II Corinth.5: 21]. The scripture says, “But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” I Corinth.1: 30. Jerem. 23:6. Glory be to God for His supreme sacrifice on the cross of Calvary for the redemption of mankind!

Isaiah 9:5-6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and government is upon His shoulder, and His name will be called Wonder, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of PEACE.” Of the increase of His government and Shalom (Peace) there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with acts of loving kindness from now even forevermore. (John 12:34) the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this”. Since Christ is the Prince of Peace, His Kingdom is therefore the Kingdom of Peace. The word Shalom that is translated as peace in the English Bible means much more than that. The glossary of the One New Man Bible says that Shalom is a Hebrew word that comes from Shalem meaning to be complete. It is said that when there is Shalom, there is tranquility, justice, sufficient food, clothing, and housing. There is Divine health, with no sickness. Shalom means an absence of; disorder, injustice, bribery, corruption, conflict, lack, hatred, abuse, violence, pain, suffering, immorality and all other negative forces.

No wonder, as soon as Jesus Christ resurrected, He went to fish out His disciples who were in disarray, afraid and hiding behind shut doors; to bless them with His peace [Shalom]. Miraculously He appeared in their mist where they hid and He declared, “Peace be with you”.{Shalom Aleichem.} Having seen the Lord alive, their joy knew no bound; and they were no longer fearful. Right there, the Prince of peace passed on the baton to them to preach and demonstrate God’s Kingdom to the world. John.20:19-23. How glorious it is to live in such a peaceful kingdom as this! This is the true picture of the Kingdom of God. I can see why the LORD taught us to pray that God’s Kingdom should come to this wicked world so that evil will be no more. Hallelujah, The Prince of Peace established His Kingdom when He died, resurrected and was glorified. Our faith in Him gives us entrance into His Kingdom of Peace. By His grace I am a citizen of this supernatural Kingdom. I earnestly implore you to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and be born into His Kingdom.

As a living witness of the benefits of this Kingdom of peace, I have no doubt that Jesus Christ is coming back soon to reign and judge the wickedness of this world. Won’t you be prepared for Him by giving your life to Him? It is written, “Therefore, since we have been made righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Y’shua Messiah. Also through whom we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand and boast in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2. Taste and see that the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. Hebrew 12:14 says, “You must continually pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will see the Lord.” In order to survive the chaos of this world, “ … The peace of the Messiah must continually rule in your hearts, into which peace you were also called in one body: and you must constantly be grateful.” Coloss.3: 15.

In conclusion friends, “…You must at no point be anxious about anything, but your requests must quickly be made known to God in every prayer and entreaty, with thanksgiving. And the peace [Shalom] of God which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and your thoughts and purposes on Messiah Y’shua [Christ Jesus].” Phil. 4:6-7
